Mac Mart mac'n Cheesery!
"Mac Mart: The Story of a Cheesin’ Dream Come True
Mac Mart began as a bright pink food truck rolling through the streets of Drexel University in the winter of 2013. Founded by Marti Lieberman, who had no formal experience in the food world — just a killer mac 'n cheese recipe and relentless drive — the brand quickly found its flavor. Still, Marti knew something was missing.
Enter: her sister, Pamela Lorden, and her boyfriend, Garrett Jablonski. Together, the trio combined Marti’s background in PR, Pamela’s passion for all things culinary, and Garrett’s can-do grit to build a powerhouse team. From that moment on, the Mac Mart truck became a staple at festivals, private events, and major functions — serving everyone from Forbes and Starr Events to the Philadelphia Eagles, 76ers, and even the Wawa executive team.
In 2016, riding the wave of their growing fan base and social media buzz, Mac Mart opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse neighborhood. It quickly became a go-to comfort food destination, proudly serving their signature mac creations for nearly a decade.
After years of success and a loyal following, the founders decided it was time to grow the brand. In 2024, Mac Mart opened its first franchise location in Ardmore, PA, with plans for more to come. In 2025, they returned to their roots with the launch of Mac Mart Mobile — a fleet of trucks and trailers ready to serve up mac 'n cheese on four wheels once again.
Never ones to sit still, the team also introduced a line of smart vending fridges across Philadelphia, offering not only their famous mac but also grab-and-go items from fellow local makers. This innovation built on their successful Market Mac program — a retail line of ready-to-heat mac dishes sold in local delis and markets for the past five years.
From a college campus food truck to a growing franchise with tech-driven convenience, Mac Mart’s mission remains simple: keep bellies full, hearts warm, and mac lovers coming back for more."
